Supporting Tooltips

Tooltips are a fast, convenient and popular way to provide the user with essential information about an application. Blueshell Active Tables (bAt) makes using them in a consistent and reliable way a snap. bAt uses the DESCRIPTION column of ADO's Columns schema (OpenSchema(adSchemaColumns)!Description) for tooltip texts. If you are using Jet (MS Access) or any other database supporting this feature, just define the tooltip texts at the database level and bAt will use them automatically.

How to do

MS Access

Open your table in design mode and add the tooltip text at the Description Column (shown with German Access 97 below).
